Vector view of a generator rejection cabinet.

The current and voltage transformers for the neutral point and grid side are installed in the discharge fields on a project-specific basis. Additional components, e.g., for neutral point treatment or an excitation transformer, can also be installed. Short circuits near the generator cause very high short-circuit currents, which generate high electromagnetic forces and thermal effects. These can lead to the destruction of the affected components. For this reason, these fault scenarios are simulated in advance during the design of the discharge fields and taken into account in the design.
