Location expansion in Dohna: E&A and F&S invest in the future

F&S PROZESSAUTOMATION GmbH and E&A Elektrotechnik und Automatisierung GmbH are expanding their facilities in the industrial park in Dohna. The former printing plant at Gewerbering 1 will serve as a joint product and testing center in the future. In addition, modern office space is being built for the teams of both companies.

On April 30, the new facility was officially inaugurated together with the employees of E&A and F&S. Over a barbecue and cold drinks, colleagues were able to get a first look at the facility, which is currently still under renovation.
The opening ceremony also provided an opportunity to look back on the development of both companies to date and to jointly take the next step toward the future. The new location is intended not only to provide space for technology and projects, but also to become a workplace for new teams.
More space for the further development of our business areas
The new facility offers significantly more space for complex in-house testing of large control and process control system configurations, as well as for the final assembly of power converter systems in particular as containerized solutions. This not only improves our internal processes but also creates optimal conditions for quality assurance, development, and project preparation.
In addition, the new facility provides a foundation for implementing larger projects in plant engineering and for expanding our own “Made in Germany” product manufacturing locally on-site.
Growth and new opportunities
The joint expansion of the facility enhances the efficiency of E&A and F&S in projects and production and opens up new opportunities to expand the portfolio. It is another step toward ensuring that both companies remain future-proof and competitive.
The new facility will create new jobs in project management and manufacturing. We are looking for skilled professionals who want to help shape a long-term, future-oriented work environment:
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning, implementation, and coordination of technical projects
- Gradually assume project responsibility and independently manage sub-projects
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and the development department to implement technical solutions
- Develop and design technical concepts, including electrical and mechanical solutions
- Eventually take on larger projects and specialize in technical fields or technical sales
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Enjoy communicating with customers, partners, and suppliers
- Enjoy exploring new and evolving areas of responsibility
- A conscientious work ethic
- Occasional business travel as part of projects (e.g., project meetings or commissioning)
- Class B driver’s license

Responsibilities:
- Design and planning of switchgear and network control systems for high- and medium-voltage installations
- Software configuration and implementation
- Testing, commissioning, and functional verification of your engineering work
- Setup and configuration of technical data communication, network technology, and IT infrastructure for our systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, communications technology, or IT
- Preferred: Experience in the design and testing of telecontrol or plant technology for high- and medium-voltage systems
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards (IEC 60870, IEC 61850) and an understanding of processes in the fields of energy technology and smart grids
- Practical proficiency in German and English
- Reliable work ethic, ability to work in a team, and a solution-oriented approach
- Preferred: Experience with industry-specific system technologies such as SIPROTEC, SICAM, MICOM, WINCC-OA, ZENON energy, and others
