“The Dawn of the Digital Era for Low-Voltage Networks”
Closing event for the DIGITECHNETZ project
February 2026
Over the past three and a half years, the DIGITECHNETZ project team, led by the Chair of Electrical Power Supply at TU Dresden in collaboration with the Chair of Business Administration, has worked together with industry partners SachsenNetze GmbH, Robotron Datenbanken-Software GmbH, F&S PROZESSAUTOMATION GmbH, DigSILENT GmbH, and emsys grid services GmbH, a modular digital service platform that comprehensively supports the operation of low-voltage grids.
At F&S, we were responsible for the value-added visualization service. This service enables the monitoring and network operations management of low-voltage distribution networks. In collaboration with the service technicians at SachsenNetze GmbH and the project partners, F&S developed the TIBS Asset Navigator prototype, complete with backend and frontend for KRITIS applications, and successfully deployed it in a real-world lab. The challenge of visualizing TIBS AN for mobile service technicians lies in hierarchical alarm management and a self-generating user interface due to the flood of information.
