Donations instead of gifts
E&A and F&S support the Dresden Outpatient Children’s and Youth Hospice Service

In a world often marked by hustle and bustle and a fast-paced lifestyle, the Christmas season reminds us that community and compassion are priceless. That is why we have decided to repeat our Christmas fundraising campaign in 2023 to benefit the the Dresden Outpatient Children’s and Youth Hospice Service (AKHD).
Instead of traditional Christmas gifts, our company decided to send our valued business partners Christmas cards containing a promotional code that triggered a donation to the AKHD. The result was an overwhelming total of €3,310.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to supporting this seemingly small but incredibly important work.
On March 14, 2024, we had the honor of visiting the organization in person to present the symbolic donation check. At the same time, we took the opportunity to learn more about the AKHD’s volunteer work and the stories behind the affected families. The organization is currently supported by 56 volunteers who, in their free time, assist a total of 33 families and their children.
It’s understandable that we often turn a blind eye to the challenges others face, especially when they don’t directly affect us. Yet we firmly believe that such actions offer a valuable opportunity for all of us to support those who are otherwise overlooked.
With this year’s donation, we wish to express our appreciation and respect for the organization and its volunteers, as well as to offer a little hope and comfort to families affected by life-shortening illnesses. For in this season of sharing and giving, we too want to do our part to make the world a little brighter and more loving.
