Contract for the planning of the retrofit of the electrical measurement and control system at the combined sewer pumping station in Dresden-Wilschdorf

The pumping station was originally built in 1996. The original design still forms the basis for the layout and sizing of the existing switchgear. During a second expansion phase in 2005, only the power section and the emergency power system were upgraded to meet increased requirements. However, the basic structure of the facility remained unchanged.
Against this backdrop, the current project involves planning a complete replacement of the switchgear as well as a comprehensive upgrade of the entire building automation and control systems. In addition, the associated auxiliary systems - in particular the ventilation system, the building alarm system (GWA), and the fire alarm system (BMA) - are also part of the planning. The medium-voltage system and the stationary emergency power generator are also being analyzed as part of the overall assessment and integrated into the new concept.
A particular challenge lies in carrying out all planning work while ensuring the existing facility remains fully operational. This requires a well-thought-out migration and conversion concept that minimizes both technical and operational risks and ensures a high level of supply reliability.
The project costs determined by E&A amount to approximately €400,000.
